Are there auditions or performances?

There are no auditions or performances!  Our goal is to provide a safe and fun atmosphere where everyone, regardless of their ability, can experience the intellectual, emotional, and physical benefits of singing, along with the social rewards of singing in a group.  We put no pressure on our members to audition, and the goal is to have fun without the stress of preparing for performance.

How do I join?

To join, all you need to do is show up!  We're a drop in group, and always welcome brand new members. We encourage any new members to subscribe to our mailing list or follow our Facebook page so as to not miss any updates or info.

To subscribe to our mailing list, visit out Contact section. We send out an e-mail prior to each session with details, song list, and the lyrics attached. You can also like/follow our Facebook page here.  A Facebook post is always created for an upcoming session which will have all the details (i.e., date, time, location, and song list), as well as a link and reminder about where to find the digital lyrics to download.

Otherwise, all you need to join is a love of singing, in or out of tune! Doors open at 6:30pm. Arriving 10-15 minutes before we start at 7pm will give you lots of time to pay (there is a fee of $10 per session, cash only), get settled, make sure your water bottle is filled, and mingle with our other members before we start singing.

How often are the sessions?

Our sessions are every two weeks on Tuesdays. We start at 7pm, and the session is an hour and a half long, ending at 8:30pm. Please see our Session Calendar section for a full calendar of the specific dates. If you're not on Facebook and want friendly reminders about our sessions, please subscribe to our mailing list! We send a reminder e-mail with details about our theme and song list a few days before each session.

Where do the sessions take place?

We meet in the Sanctuary at Trinity United Church, located at 1099 Maitland Ave.

- If you are coming from the Queensway in either direction, exit at Maitland and go South. The Church will be on your left, and there is a set of lights to turn into the parking lot.

- If you are coming from Merivale/Clyde, Baseline or Hunt Club etc., you will go North on Maitland and the Church will be on your right. You can turn into the parking lot at the lights just by the Church.

Is there a fee?

There is a fee of $10 per session (cash only).  This fee includes the digitally compiled lyrics, backing tracks, delicious homemade refreshments, an amazing venue, and an hour and a half of fun!

Do you provide lyrics, and is there any instrumental accompaniment?

Yes!  We provide a digital copy of the lyrics in the days before the session via e-mail as well as in downloadable form in the "Upcoming Session" section of our website. We also provide a backing track that we sing along to for each of the songs.

What are your policies around COVID-19?

We will continue to monitor public health guidelines and follow the directions put out by public health authorities.

If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or feel unwell, we ask that you do not attend - we will look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
